Our ancestors, who went to school together and cooked up pranks, once made Zermatt what it is today.

History
As ZERMATTERS, we have been shaping the outdoor world in Zermatt since 1888. Our roots lie in traditional mountain guiding and the ski school, both of which can look back on over a hundred years of history. With the merger to form the ZERMATTERS cooperative in 2019, these two strong pillars were united - since then we have been bundling our expertise in the areas of Climb, Ski & Board, Hike and Bike.
What once began with the accompaniment to alpine peaks and the first ski course is now a year-round offer of guided tours, courses and adventures for every level. Whether on the Matterhorn, glacier slopes, idyllic hiking trails or challenging bike trails - ZERMATTERS stands for alpine expertise, safety and authentic experiences in the heart of the Alps.

ZERMATTERS Guides
Our mountain guides are certified by the International Federation of Mountain Guide Associations (IVBV) and guarantee the highest safety and quality standards. The ZERMATTERS ski school is the official Swiss ski school in Zermatt - our snow sports instructors have the relevant internationally recognized qualifications. In summer, too, we rely on the highest level of professionalism: our hiking guides are certified by the Union of International Mountain Leader Associations and our bike guides bear the Swiss Cycling seal of approval.
