The lost valley
General information about the lost valley
- Over 40 years ago, the glacier tongue of the Findel Glacier pushed debris into this area as the glacier retreated. This created the moraines between which the lost valley with its green surface is located today.
- The south-west moraine consists of African rock and the north-east moraine of European rock. This difference can be recognized by the colors of the rock
- It is an ideal hike for families in the Zermatt mountain area and can also be optionally started from Sunnegga.
Special features of the lost valley
- An insider tip in the Zermatt - Matterhorn region!
