The Matterhorn Ski Weeks have been running since 1957. What began back then as a wedeln course is now a package for anyone who wants a week in Zermatt without having to organise a thing.
For six days you are out with your group and a local ski instructor. They know the Matterhorn Ski Paradise and where the best snow is on any given day. Some days take you through powder and firn away from the pistes, others across the border to Cervinia, where the afternoon ends the Italian way.
Ski rental is part of the package, so you can try out the latest models.
The groups are made up of skiers who are confident on the pistes. We do not offer beginner courses during these weeks.

All prices are per person and per week, including hotel with breakfast, excluding visitor’s tax. Prices apply to the base room category of the respective hotel.
The apéro takes place at the ZERMATTERHOF. During the week of 5 – 12 Dec 2026 it takes place at the Matterhorn Museum.
Participating Hotels
These hotels have the package on file. Choose your hotel and book directly with them. When you book, let them know which level you would like to ski in.
Groups and Levels
Groups are formed on Sunday morning. We start at level 4, beginner courses are not part of the ski weeks.
- Level 4, parallel turns
You ski red pistes confidently and in parallel turns. - Level 5, short turns
You are comfortable on steeper terrain and ski short, rhythmic turns. - Level 6, carving
You ski on the edge and want to work on technique and precision. - Level 7, moguls and introduction to off piste
You are looking for variety beside the groomed pistes and taking your first steps off piste. - Level 8, Top Class
You are confident off piste and want to ski descents away from the groomed slopes.
If there is a ski instructor you have skied with before and would like to join again, mention it when you book with the hotel.
Ski Rental Voucher
For the ski rental you receive a voucher worth CHF 170.00. It is up to you how you use it:
- Rent skis at one of the participating sports shops
- Buy goods to the same value
- Get the amount back at the ZERMATTERS Homebase if you do not need the voucher
