For beginners with no previous experience as well as for advanced skiers who want to improve their technique in classic or skating style.

What is the difference between classic and skating?

Classic skiing is done on the groomed trail with a diagonal stride, while skating is a more dynamic technique with a lateral push - similar to ice skating.

Do I have to be sporty or particularly fit?

A good basic level of fitness helps, but is not essential. The lessons are individually adapted to your level and pace.

Do I need my own equipment?

Cross-country skiing equipment can be hired in Täsch. We will be happy to advise you in advance on what you need (skis, boots, poles, suitable clothing).

Where do the lessons take place?

Lessons are held on the well-maintained cross-country ski trail in Täsch - ideal for all levels and easily accessible by train from Zermatt.

How long does a lesson last?

Lessons normally last 2 hours. We also offer half-day or full-day courses on request - can be booked individually.

Are there group lessons or only private lessons?

ZERMATTERS offers private lessons - so you learn more efficiently and receive individual support.

In which languages do the lessons take place?

Our cross-country ski instructors teach in German, English, French and other languages - depending on availability.

What do I wear for cross-country skiing?

It is best to wear several layers of functional sportswear - windproof, breathable and easy to move in. No thick ski clothing!

Yes, especially for sporty children aged 8 and over who enjoy movement and coordination. The lessons are adapted in a playful way.
