Experience the ultimate thrill of climbing up frozen waterfalls!
Vertical ice, muscle power and six small steel spikes that prevent slipping. It could not be any more crazy. The ice-covered rock walls and frozen waterfalls not only look impressive. They awake the urge to climb them from all positions with ice picks and special crampons. If you want to test the extreme sport of ice climbing, you should have knowledge of alpine climbing, a good head for heights and good physical fitness.

In the morning you will meet your guide at 08:20am at the valley station of the Matterhorn Express. The cable car takes you to Furri within ten minutes, followed by a 15-minute ascent to the respective ice climbing area Blatten, Furi or Schweigmatten (depending on the conditions).
During 2-3 hours you try ice climbing - until your forearms are burning! In the early afternoon you are back in the village!
Best early, (1-2 weeks in advance); short-term registrations however are possible too.
It is up to the participant (accident insurance and evacuation insurance)
You are a bit sporty and are interested in this new type of movement!
Minimum age for children and adolescents: from about 12 years.
Personally you bring with you: ankle-high mountain boots with stiff rubber soles, crampons and two ice axes for ice climbing (you can rent in a sports shop), as well as your personal winter clothing and some snacks and hot tea (see list). Harness and helmet is brought to you by your mountain guide!
PS: Wear warm and best take a pair of spare gloves!
