Details
Best season for the ascent
Between the beginning of July and mid-September (depending on snow and weather conditions, it might be possible to ascend the Dom earlier/later in the year).
Registration
We recommend you book your tour a few weeks in advance; however, short-term registration is possible subject to availability.
Insurance
All participants must arrange their own insurance (accident insurance and evacuation insurance).
Requirements
For each of these 4000-metre climbs, you need to be well-acclimatised, i. e. you should do a few hikes at high altitude and, of course, be in very good physical condition! You should also feel comfortable hiking and climbing with crampons. In addition, you've already summited a few 4000-metre peaks.
Please note
We recommend you bring a climbing partner. If possible, we can help you find a climbing partner. However, you need to be aware of the fact that we cannot guarantee you will reach the summit, if the group participants don't know each other and/or if they have very different climbing abilities. In the latter case, the group has to adapt its pace to the weakest member.
Equipment
In case you don't have your own climbing equipment, you can rent it from various sports shops in Zermatt.
