Details
On the first day, you will take the cable car up to Schwarzsee/Hörnlilift mountain station, from where you will depart on an easy hike with your guide up to Hirli (approx. 1.5 hours with touring skis and skins). After a short descent down to Stafel, you will ascend to Schönbiel Hut (approx. 3 hours with touring skis and skins). After a convivial evening in the hut and a short night you will start your ascent to Tête Blanche very early in the morning. To your left, the impressive vistas of Matterhorn north face will accompany you throughout the entire ascent. Finally, enjoy a well-deserved and laid-back descent down the glacier and the secluded valley.

PDG—The Patrouille des Glaciers in two days with overnight stay in Arolla. Embark on the legendary ski touring race course without any pressure!
Every ski tourer's dream: the legendary Patrouille des Glaciers! Discover the course in two days while taking your time, whether you want to prepare for the PDG race and get to know the course in detail, or simply enjoy a pleasurable tour without the crowds! We will start in Zermatt, stay one night in Arolla, and finish the tour in Verbier, where you will experience the emotional high of crossing the finish line!
Although this tour is not a race, you still have to be an experienced ski tourer and in extremely good physical condition as you have to ascend and descend almost 2,000 metres per day!

FURTHER INFORMATION

Registration
As early as possible, i. e. approximately 1 or 2 weeks in advance; short-term registration is possible subject to availability.
Insurance
All participants must arrange their own insurance (accident insurance and evacuation insurance in case of accidents that occur off-piste).
Requirements
You feel comfortable skiing off-piste in all kinds of snow, are an experienced ski tourer, and are in very good physical condition.
Equipment
Bring warm winter clothing and your freeride equipment (incl. shovel and probe). It’s also possible to rent freeride equipment in any of Zermatt’s sports shops.
