You will meet your guide at the bottom station of Matterhorn Express cable car at the previously agreed time in the morning. After the cable car ride up to Klein Matterhorn, you will do a warm-up descent down to the Italian heliport in Cervinia. The helicopter will take you to the landing area at 3,799m. Enjoy a beautifully scenic descent down the glacier just below the north face of the Matterhorn that will take you through a secluded valley. After approximately 3 hours, you will reach the ski pistes of Furi, where the tour will end.
As early as possible, i. e. approximately 2 weeks in advance; short-term registration is possible subject to availability.
All participants must arrange their own insurance.
You are an excellent on-piste skier who feels comfortable skiing off-piste in all types of snow, including deep powder.
It goes without saying that we respect protected wildlife areas and won’t go skiing in wildlife habitats.
Don't forget to bring your GoPro/camera—the mountains and glaciers are truly spectacular!
Bring warm winter clothing and your freeride and avalanche safety equipment (shovel and probe, airbag backpack). It’s also possible to rent freeride equipment in any of Zermatt’s sports shops.
