Challenging guided glacier tour

Experience the fascination of glaciers up close. The ZERMATTERS mountain guide will impart background knowledge about geology and glaciology.

Your mountain guide will welcome you in Zermatt. The cable car will take you up to the Plateau Rosa station at over 3,400 metres above sea level (CH / I border). From the starting point we cross the Upper Theodul Glacier with crampons, roped up and safely guided. Slightly downhill in the direction of the Mattertal we reach the Lower Theodul Glacier. After a break on the rocks at the edge of the glacier, a short and somewhat steep ascent awaits us. Via a hiking path we reach the Gandegg hut. From here we take the hut trail to the Trockener Steg mountain railway station. There the tour ends. This glacier tour is also well suited as acclimatisation and preparation for your first 4'000 meter peak!

RATE:

With a private mountain guide: CHF 720.00 for 1 to 3 people, each additional person + CHF 40.00

In a group: CHF 180.00 per person (from 4 people)

Please note that for group tours the minimum number of participants must be reached in order for the tour to take place. If this is not the case, you can decide at short notice whether you want to cancel or postpone the tour, or whether you want to do it with a private mountain guide.
